Liz Danforth"Ahead of time, put up a whiteboard sign in the lobby (ideally) that says “Open Gaming!” with popular game titles, age limits, time. If possible, be visible from passers-by entering the library, and audible with the music – people step in to see what’s going on."

Forms & Handouts

You will need marketing materials for sure, but you will also need pre-surveys, registration forms, scoring sheets, evaluations, booklists, gamelists, and more.

As you create your own forms and handouts:

  • Create the content first, then worry about making it look pretty.
  • Get someone from your target demographic to design.
  • Develop a brand, complete with a logo.
  • Standardize fonts and graphics for a uniform look.
  • Don't be afraid of white space on your posters!
  • Advertise at least 3 weeks in advance.
