BuildLiteracy Partners is partnership building website designed to help libraries improve and expand literacy services and programs. The website features information, materials, and resources about how libraries, local agencies, and corporate partners work together to build stronger community-based literacy partnerships and more literate communities.

Illinois Literacy Resource Development Center

The Illinois Literacy Resource Development Center is dedicated to improving literacy policy and practice at the local, state and national levels. The Illinois Literacy Resource Development Center (ILRDC) is a non-profit organization supporting literacy and adult education efforts throughout Illinois and the nation. One key to its success has been its ability to build partnerships among the organizations, individuals and agencies working in the literacy arena - from the local to the state and national levels.

National Institute For Literacy

The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) is an independent federal organization leading the national effort toward a fully literate nation in the 21st century. To live and prosper in the U.S. today, all adults must be lifelong learners, with access to knowledge and skills that can sustain them on the job, at home, and in their communities. At least 40 million adults in the U.S. need stronger literacy skills in order to take full advantage of continuing lifelong learning opportunities.

Literacy USA

Formerly known as the National Alliance of Literacy Coalitions and based in Houston, Texas, Literacy USA supports the work of coalitions across the country as they create the necessary infrastructure for literacy services and bring people together to do what they cannot do alone. This network consists of 65 city, regional, and state coalitions that represent over 4,400 literacy service providers serving more than 2.7 million learners.
